Camel Jam 2004 - Saturday, June 19th (Rain Date June 20th), Connecticut College, New London, CT. The Camel Jam is a youth lacrosse festival that emphasizes sportsmanship, camaraderie, and enthusiasm - all on a beautiful space overlooking the Long Island Sound. Last year, the Camel Jam was a rousing success with 57 teams from 3 states, and well over 900 players participating in the day-long event. Each age group will have an assigned 4 hour time block in which to play their 4, 25-minute running time games. The number of teams able to participate in this year's Festival has expanded to a maximum of 20 boy's teams in each of the junior (5th/6th grade), and senior (7th/8th grades) age groups, and 15 for the bantams (3rd/4th grades). For the young ladies, we are looking for 8 girl's teams each in the junior and the senior age groups, and 6 bantam teams. This year we are going to make every attempt to place teams at their appropriate competitive level. We expect that all coaches will provide an appropriate evaluation of their team's competitive level. We encourage teams to be competitive, but above all, we want the Camel Jam to be an enjoyable experience for all.
